Paediatric Pelvic Health:
Paediatric pelvic floor dysfunction is very common and yet, extremely under-serviced. Pediatric pelvic floor dysfunction refers to a wide range of issues that occur when the pelvic floor muscles are weak, in spasm or too tight. The two most common pelvic floor dysfunctions amongst children are constipation (dysfunctional elimination) and bedwetting (nocturnal enuresis). Pelvic health physiotherapists treat children who are experiencing day or nighttime incontinence (enuresis), as well as any bowel issues ranging from constipation to fecal incontinence (encopresis). Most of these issues are ultimately related to underlying constipation. As such, we use a holistic approach that includes education and counselling related to needed lifestyle or behaviour changes, specific maul therapy techniques and exercise/movement prescription.

Paediatric Physiotherapy:
Pediatric physiotherapy treats infants, children and youth with congenital conditions, orthopedic and neurological injuries. We aim to help improve your child’s gross motor skills and mobility. Lea uses a client & family centered approach to care, working with you to identify your child’s goals and to create an individualized treatment program. She uses a combination of hands-on treatment and exercise prescription through fun and functional activities. Areas of Practice include but not limited to: Baby Milestone Check-ups, Torticollis (tight neck) and Plagiocephaly (flat head), Developmental Delay.
